Love is in the Hair

21 Oct

Hi folks,

I do love this time of the year… autumn is firmly upon us… Halloween, Guy Fawkes & Christmas are just around the corner… eeeeeck!

However… with the cooler weather… comes the damp, rainy atmosphere. As a curly haired girl who tends to wear her hair straight… this can be an utter nightmare.

I dread washing my hair. I really do. It’s like a full on commitment. My hair is super thick, washing it, conditioning it… followed by half an hour of holding the hair dryer in place while I blow dry it. I always get so hot & bothered & I feel like the dryer just fry’s my hair. I actually read something really interesting about when you can tell your hairdryer is on its way out & all of the damage it can do to your luscious locks & the warning signs to watch out for. You can read the article from Which?, here. After reading this… it was so unbelievably clear… I needed a new dryer!

I am so completely in love with my new Shehair® Professional Hair Dryer

Why… I hear you ask… It has a powerful 1800-2000W professional-strength motor with Homogeneous heat to minimalise damage, delivering a high pressure air flow for super-fast drying, while reducing frizz and flyaways to give a smooth salon-style finish. It’s actually true!!! Because my hair is naturally curly, when I blow dry, my hair seems to go so frizzy. But after only 9minutes with this fantastic dryer… my hair was fully dry & it was so much smoother!!! Yes… it wasn’t straight, however, it was so much more manageable & took time off the hair straightening side of things.

Variable power and temperature controls, allow you to tailor your blow-dry to your hair type, while a cool shot button helps lock your finished style in place with a blast of cold air… keeping your hair in Tip Top condition. This is the first time I’ve ever blow dried my hair & not been sweltering. Normally I’m bright red & so hot. But even though I used my new dryer on the hottest setting… it still feels cool. And… I couldn’t smell burning hair… now that’s always a plus!

Ergonomical balance and design makes it a breeze to use & comfortable to hold for both left & right-handed users. It’s so lightweight. It makes blow drying your own hair so much easier! You also get 3 attachments as standard too!

I simply cannot convey to you just how amazing this hair dryer is & how much time it’s saved me. I also feel like my hair feels nicerI don’t feel like it’s so scorched anymore. Since having Ted, my hair hasn’t been great… I feel like it’s not looking as glossy. But with the help of some thick, nourishing shampoo & conditioner, drinking plenty water & now my amazing new hair dryer & gold styler from SHE Hair... I really feel like it’s getting back to its glossy former glory. I haven’t dyed my hair in over 5yrs & try my best to keep it in tip top condition.

This week, SHE Hair are launching their new Platinum Range… I simply cannot wait to try those. They look utterly stunning. Perfect for gifts under the Christmas tree!!!

If you head over to the SHE Hair social media pagesyou’ll see that they’re currently running a competition to win yourself a new Hair Dryer!!!

Thank you so much as always for reading & I do hope that you’ve found this review useful!

Shiny And New

5 Jun

Hi folks,

Can I just start by saying… how odd is the weather at the moment!? One minute its hot & sunny… then the next… it’s humid, dark & raining! Utter nightmare! Especially for those of us with hair prone to frizz!

Just the other week I was sent the gorgeous new Gold Styler from She Hair… & wow… it definitely came at the most perfect time to save me from this humid frizzy nightmare!

Honestly… I’m so fussy when it comes to what I’ll use on my hair. I have super thick hair & it’s so curly when I wash it. I know I recently cut my hair to donate 15″ to The Little Princess Trust, but it’s still a mission to get my new shorter hair straight. You all know that I’m a huge She Hair straightener fan. I literally use my irons everyday. I was very skeptical that the new gold styler could be as good as the original She Iron… but OMG… how wrong I was. The gold styler isn’t as good… it’s BETTER!!! It’s absolutely amaze balls! I mean… where do I start!?

So… The packaging.. it’s simply BEAUtiful. The Gorgeous gold styler comes in a lovely box perfectly packaged. You also get a free silicone heat guard for when you’re travelling or for storage. Because the silicone is soft & flexible, there’s no worry of it scratching or marking your styler. I think the packaging is really fancy & looks super expensive. If you gave them as a gift… the recipient would be over the moon.

What makes the styler different to the original 3.1b straightener? Well the new styler has a variable temperature gage. This is amazing news for people with finer hair or extensions. By being able to choose your temperature – there’s no worry of burning your precious locks. I tend to use on the hottest setting as my hair is very thick & very curly. After straightening – my hair it is super shiny! The super smooth titanium plates are loaded with more negative Ions, this repairs over charged positive Ion damaged hair, reducing frizz and providing better, longer lasting results. The polished & floating titanium plates means there’s no risk of dragging or snagging either. And… It takes the styler hardly no time at all to reach your chosen temperature. A few year ago I actually purchased The GHD Gold Styler & I ended up selling it on eBay… It really dragged & pulled my hair. I paid well over £100… I wasn’t happy at all.

The She Styler has lovely curved edges making it easier to get right to the root when straightening. Thats essential for me as my hair is curly right from the root. It also makes it easier to get that slight curve at the edges of your hair when you want to turn it under.

Going on holiday? Don’t panic… The styler comes with a built in European plug!!! How handy is that!? And with a voltage range of 100v-240v,  your styler will work world wide too.

How much???? Well… can you believe that this amazing styler can be yours for only £69.99 with FREE DELIVERY!!! Crazy when you think about how much other big named brands are charging!!! So, for £69.99 you get either a regular plate or a wide plate gold styler… silicone heat protector… beautiful box… VAT is included… FREE DELIVERY… warranty card & instructions for use. You simply cannot go wrong!!!

Oh… did I also mention that if you leave them turned on they’ll automatically turn themselves off!? We’ve all been there… Did I turn my straighteners off??? Well now there’s no need to ponder or worry!

Check out their sparkly new website. There’s more new products being added soon too!!! I just can’t wait to try those.

I’ve had lots of compliments on my hair… my hair is feeling really soft & looking super shiny. And… the time it takes to straighten my hair has reduced too!!! So… Shiny hair & time saving! It’s a total winner!!!

And there you have it… The Gold Styler from She Hair is amazing… go buy it! You won’t be disappointed!!!

If you’re professional stylist or own your own salon, you can contact the She Hair Team via their social media pages or email. They offer great trade prices – so why not get in touch with them!

To keep up to date with new products, promotions & competitions follow She Hair on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.

Thank you as always for reading & I hope you’ve found this review useful!

Toilet Training is a Developmental Process… Not a Race

21 Jan

Hi folks,

Wowzers… what a week! So, last week marked the start of ‘potty training’. Obviously this whole chapter is new to me. Seth is 2yr & 10month old. We decided to begin potty training since Seth has been dry on a night now since before Ted was born. Plus we know he’s more than capable & his speech is really good. He’s great at communicating etc… So, last Monday I went full throttle & took him out of pull-ups. Monday was great… only a few accidents with some success on the potty. Not the big toilet as he decided he didn’t like it… even though we have a child seat & a step etc… Tuesday was even better! We had a wee & poop on the potty – great! I’ve never been so excited to see poo in all my life!!! Wednesday though however… what an utter nightmare. Seth was anxious & just had accident after accident. I need to add that during this time, not once has he asked for the potty. It’s all relied on me asking him like every half hour. Thursday was a little better. We had a successful wee on the potty. But then… midmorning Seth decided to pull his pants down, shout big poo & what followed can only be described as the start to the Eastenders theme tune… you know the one… well that’s how it sounded as Seth proceeded to squat over the carpet. Looking for the positive in this scenario… it was firm so easily lifted from said carpet with no mess left behind. How I’m not sat rocking in a corner clutching a bottle of gin I’ll never know! lol. Sorry for the description… but if you’re a parent… you know what it’s like.

After that… it’s just kinda gone downhill really. Over the weekend Seth had some nightmares about the potty. I just cannot stand to see my little boy upset. So, against peoples advice, I’ve popped him back into training pants. Being so active on social media, people love to give you their opinion. But when it comes to potty training (I’m no guru) I really do think… Mother knows best… Just call me ‘Mother Gothel’ lol. The change in Seth today has been amazing! Seth has never actually told me when he needs the loo… yet today he has told me when he needs a wee & a poo! Now if that’s not progress then I don’t what is. So rather than being full on & constantly asking him… I’m letting him tell me. He’s totally controlling his bladder & telling me each time he needs it. I think it’s also having a positive effect on him as he feels more in control. No terrible tantrums & no crying… that’s got to be healthier & nicer. No one wants this process to be a battle ground. I’m going with the mantra of… slow & steady wins the race.

Some things I’ve found that have helped; Seth adores the Kandoo Wipes in the little dispenser. He loves pressing the button for when you need the wipes to wipe his bum. I’ve never seen anyone do a yoga pose quite like Seth during bum wiping, whilst he’s shouting “wipe me I’m a mess’… it’s a good job I love him lol. He cracks me up. I got the dispenser from Ocado for around £4. Seth has also loved the magnetic reward chart that I bought from Home Bargains for £2.99. Green Stars for a wee & pink for a poop. He also needs his quillow next to him too each time he sits on the potty. I think he just needs to feel safe & secure. It’s a whole world to him.

I’ve made sure he gets plenty praise, even if he doesn’t do anything on the potty… just sitting on it I’m telling he’s clever. When he has an accident, it’s a case of “oh well, next we’ll try to get it in the potty”. There’s no point being too negative or shouting. It’ll only enforce fear. So overall… it’s been a tough week in some ways… yet I’ve personally learnt a lot. I think it’s made me take a step back & view things more from Seth’s point of view. Again though, I’m no guru, far from it. These are just things that have worked for us.

It feels like such a busy time here at the moment. The invitations arrived for Ted’s Christening.

They’re absolutely gorgeous, I paid extra for the gold lined envelopes. I can’t show you all a pic, as I’ve only just posted them today. Almost £19 to send. So with what they cost to make & then the postage to send them out… it’s come to almost £100. But, he’s worth it. And we did the same for Seth, so it’s only fair we do the same for Ted.

He’s such a gorgeous little pudding. I can’t believe he’s almost 13week old. I’ve bought him a gorgeous outfit from the Heritage Collection at Mothercare for the big day. I’ve seen a few things in Next that I’ll get for Seth. Then it’s just us parents who need an outfit. But, as a parent you always come last. The way it should be.

And, when you’re a parent there’s always less time to get ready on a morning as you’re running round after everyone else. That’s why I love my 3 weekly visit to get my nails done.

I get a gel polish. I keep my nails super short, but since Ted has been born, my nails have been very weak. I’ve started taking Seven Seas Hair, Skin & Nails vitamins. They’re already making a difference I feel. My nails are feeling stronger. Last week I also had a consultation for microblading!!!! I’m far too excited!

I always wear make up. I love doing my make up, but it also gives me more confidence. But, I am very self conscious of my eyebrows. I painstakingly paint them on every day with wax & powder… I use BrowZing from Benefit. But because my eyebrows are so ‘made up’ I then have to do a full face of make up really to fit with them if that makes sense. Some days it’d just be nice to be able to wear less make up & be a little more natural. So for me… microblading is the answer. I’m lucky enough to know an amazing lady who does some amazing beauty treatments. She also does my nails. So of course she’s the one doing my eyebrows too. I have my first sitting this week. Then I’ll have a top up in 6 week time.

So, I’ve had the shape & size mapped, I’ve had the dye/colour match done & all of the health & safety allergy tests. I can’t wait to have full, natural looking eyebrows with hair strokes!!! I’m a victim of the over plucked 90s brow… but not for much longer. Eeeeck… so stay tuned for the results. I’ll be blogging about my full brow journey… Glad brows to Beautiful Brows… or something along those lines lol.

Along with new brows… I’ve gotten myself a new shiny iPhone XR in red. I LOVE it!!!

49065970_10156735593800729_2263272410067238912_n

Love love love it! Even better when you get a good contract deal that is cheaper than you were paying for your old iPhone! But, as it’s a bit bigger than my old iPhone 6s… I’ve had to sell my beloved Vivienne Westwood pouch. I don’t get on well with phone cases really,  I much prefer a pouch I can put my phone in to stop it getting scratched in my bag etc… I decided to treat myself to a customised Lucrin leather iPhone pouch. I do love a monogram.

Of course I went with the red to match my phone.

Ooooh, something I’ve tried this week is non-sulphate shampoo. Being a natural curly haired girl, my hair can be so high maintenance. It’s very long & super thick. Even thicker since having the boys. I don’t always want to fully straighten my hair, but when it’s left to dry naturally I fall victim to the dreaded frizz. I’ve been reading up on the Curly Girl Method (CGM) online. That’s when I first really took notice of non-sulphate shampoo’s. Palmers make a shampoo & conditioner in Coconut Oil & Olive Oil.

Apparently, the more you use it, the better it makes your hair each time. I’ve only used the coconut one so far & that’s only been once. And I have to say that my hair isn’t frizzy at all. It’s way more manageable already. So I’m really excited to see the results 6 month down the line. I’m really just looking for all of those little beauty hacks to make my life easier & getting ready on a morning quicker. It won’t be long until I’m doing a school run… eeeeck. So getting ready really needs to be as simplified as possible.

Since we’ve all not been well & then with beginning the dreaded toilet training… We’ve literally spent a whole week at home which is different for us. But, it’s actually been nice. We’ve played, decorated cardboard boxes (I mean who doesn’t love a box lol) & had lots of cuddles.

All in all… it’s been a positive week really, even though toilet training is pretty stressful. I mean… on day 2 I booked another holiday lol. Nothing extravagant… a week at Haven in Blackpool. I’m so excited… it’s been years since I’ve been to Blackpool. Seth loves a Haven holiday & I’m sure Ted will too. Hopefully the weather will be nice & we can get down on the beach. If not, then we have the facilities on site as well everything else Blackpool has to offer.

I’m very much looking forward to a nice chilled out weekend.

Seth has football practice, then a birthday party. Apart from that… it’ll be a cosy family time for us. Ted has his 12week jabs this coming Friday… so that’s another very good reason to make sure it’s a quiet one for us.

Well, I think that’s about it really for this little update. Thanks for reading!!!

Oh & for any potty training parents out there… hang in there… we got this!

Well hello there 2019

9 Jan

Hi folks,

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you have all had an amazing Christmas. Don’t worry… this isn’t going to be a ‘New Year – New Me’ kind of blog post, but more of a ‘New Year – Same Me – Positive Vibes’ kind of post.

We have had such an amazing Christmas. From the moment Ted has been born, the time has flown so much. We’ve had lots of visits to see Santa & an amazing Christmassy vacation to Centre Parcs for Christmas week.

Every year we go to Centre Parcs for the lead up to Christmas… it’s just perfect. It really gets you into the Christmas spirit & full of magic. It was even more amazing going as a completed little family. We’ve already booked for next year… I’m literally already planning for Christmas 2019… I know – I can’t help myself lol. I actually bought myself a Rachel Ellen 5 Year Christmas Planner. It’s fab! I didn’t get mine until September, so it’ll be great having it a whole year in advance this time round.

From August last year I started to save up those Morrison’s match & More points… I managed to save up £50 worth of vouchers which I used for my Christmas grocery shop 2 days before the big day. Can I just say though that shopping 23rd December was like Hell on Earth! So, this year, I’m going to start saving my vouchers now & I’ll be placing a ‘Food to Order’ shop so I don’t have to battle the crowds. If I can save up £50 in just a few month… then imagine what I can save in a whole year. It’s so worth doing if you shop in Morrison’s regularly. I downloaded the app & I keep an eye on offers where you gain more points on certain items etc…

Christmas this year was made even more magical, as Seth totally understands Christmas now & Santa Clause. Last year he cried every time we went to see Santa… this year we just couldn’t keep him away lol.

Christmas Eve was filled with Breakfast with Santa at a local family pub… which also included a Christmas disco. It was fantastic & all of the kids had such a lovely time. Afterwards it was home for Christmas crafts & all of those family Christmas Eve traditions. I filled Seth’s Christmas Eve box with lots of Christmas crafty things for us all to do together. And of course… we became that family who wear matching PJs.

Christmas Day was just non-stop… Seth was super hyper. It was just perfect.

Next year is going to be amazing with Ted up & about toddling around. It’s crazy to think that this year I’ll have a 1 year old & a 3 year old.

We haven’t had the best of starts to 2019 really… I ended up in hospital with borderline pneumonia & a severe throat & chest infection. It was pretty scary at the time as they thought it was sepsis in the beginning. Luckily though it’s nothing steroids & anti biotics can’t fix. The consultant thinks it’s mainly down to a very low immune system after my c-section. Being poorly when you’re a Mammy just isn’t an option really.

I’m so very lucky to have my boys. Seth is growing up to be such a bright, beautiful boy… he’s my little comedian. I can’t wait to watch Ted grow & develop his own little personality too

And… Coco of course is still a super diva!

So… what do I have planned for 2019?

Well… we have a Christening to organise. This weekend I really do need to make a list of numbers & book it all. Then I need to order invitations etc… I’m normally way more organised than this – but being poorly has really thrown me. I have been watching Marie Kondo’s new show on Netflix & it’s given me a much needed kick. In fact… today I reorganised 4 cupboards & a drawer lol.

Next on the list will be Seth starting pre-school. I just cannot believe it’s almost time. I’m happy to say that we got our first choice – yey! And, we have his 3rd birthday too. We’re planning on taking him to Seven Stories for the Elmer Exhibition. He loves his books & Elmer is one of his faves.

This year we’ve also got a few little family vacations & some exciting little things planned that you’ll just have to wait to find out about throughout the year 🙂 And of course we’ll have a Halloweeny 1st Birthday in October too.

I have no New Year Resolutions  this year… I just plan on being as healthy as I can be… smile & laugh everyday & continue with a positive outlook. And of course to be the best Mammy I can be to my beautiful boys.

So, Happy New Year! Thank you so much for all of the support last year & thank you for continuing to read 🙂

Love & Huggles,

Hayley xxx

Looking Good Without Breaking the Bank!

9 Aug

Hi folks,

These days… we’re all on a budget… saving a few pennies wherever we can. So who wouldn’t want to look good on a budget? Everywhere we look we’re inundated with stunning celebs & models with perfect hair. I mean… does anyone have the perfect hair… naturally? I know I certainly don’t. Especially in this hot, humid weather! Well actually, by little boy has pretty perfect hair… but that’s beside the point.

Anyway… looking good on a budget. Who can remember when I reviewed She Hair UK last year? Well, for anyone who can’t remember & hasn’t heard of them… here’s a little background; Shehair, hair straighteners are manufactured by Unil Electronics Corporation – the ORIGINAL manufactures of the GHD hair straighteners brand 2001 to 2008! That’s right… the manufacturers of the original GHD iron. Below is my review from last year.

I was so excited when they got in touch again for me to review them. So… 1 year on & they’re still my favourite hair styling brand. They make 4 different irons:

I’ve embedded the links so you can read more & find out where to buy them. I love love love the pink ones… but I’m very much a pink girly girl.

The first thing you’ll notice when heading on over to their website is that they’re retailing for £54.99… that’s like half the price of the more well known brands!!! Normally when you need to invest in new hair irons you need to save up a bit… you have that inner convo with yourself about should you really be splurging right now? But at a price like that, you can buy a luxury without the guilt!

Now… as you all know I have super thick & super long hair that is very curly & frizzy naturally. My hair is much longer now than what is shown in the youtube video above that I did over a year ago. I shall enclose a before & after pic below. I have tried most of the big brand straighteners & none of them grip my hair the way I want them too. Instead they tend to snag & pull which isn’t good. The She straightener just grips & glides smoothly. My hair is so poker straight & shiny after using them.

I used the wide plate straighteners in the above pic. It took around 40mins from start to finish. Normally I’d be looking at over an hour with a pair of Cloud 9’s. For me, as a busy Mammy… any time saving is a winner. On a morning I’m looking at like 5mins maximum to get rid of any waves. But I wash my hair once a week & straighten from scratch. I only wash once a week, as my hair just does not go greasy. I put that down to how thick it is.

£54.99 sounds like a good deal doesn’t it? Well… what if I told you that right now you can get a further £10 off using the discount code: Summer ? I mean come on… £44.99 with FREE DELIVERY! Treat yourself & everyone else! The £10 off is for a limited time only… so get in there while its on! Hey, you could even stock up & buy some in as gifts for Christmas. You can access the web shop here.

So… not only is there £10 off right now with the above discount code, but they’re also running a competition on their social media pages to win a pair of Ice White Straighteners. But you’d best enter sharpish, as again it’s only on for a limited time! You can find them on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram. You can enter as many times as you like!!! Closing date is 22/08/18.

So… what are you waiting for!!!!? Get buying! 🙂

Thank you as always for reading & I hope you’ve enjoyed this review.

Pregnant Life

29 Apr

Hi Folks,

April has been such a busy month. In fact it has been a wee while since my last blog post. But this month just seems to have zoomed by so fast!

We seem to have packed a LOT into just 30 days… Seth went to his first birthday party which was unicorn themed. His little face was amazing – he adored everything about it. The bouncy castle, the pink lighting, dancing on the stage… just everything!

We also had an amazing day out to The Yorkshire Wildlife Park for their Alice in Wonderland event. It was really cold & windy, but we just wrapped up warm. We even managed to have our picnic outside too.

This month has seen some amazingly warm sunny weather too. It was so nice to be able to get out into the garden. We enjoyed it while it lasted. We had homemade picnic platters & played in the ball pool. Sometimes it’s the simple things that make the best memories.

I was also admitted to hospital too. I just couldn’t believe it. Being pregnant whilst having a toddler is such a different experience to the last time I was pregnant. Everything is harder as I’m not my own priority anymore – Seth is. We don’t have family around us where we live, so I can’t just scoot off to Hospital. I need to make sure Seth has someone to look after him. So, my hubster stayed with Seth until my parents made the 2hr drive to us. It was kinda scary being in hospital on my own. I mean I’ve been in hospital on my own before, but the beginning part while you’re sat around on the ward waiting to have tests I’ve always had Graham with me to hold my hand. Don’t worry – baby is totally fine. We’ve named the baby ‘Little T’ until he or she arrives. I’ve got red degeneration of my fibroids. I suffered with this throughout my pregnancy with Seth. Even though I’m in pain – it’s reassuring to know exactly what it is. But I do just feel constantly exhausted at this stage. We got to see Little T for the first time last week. I’m coming up to 14wks… I just cannot believe how fast this pregnancy is going. I felt like I was pregnant with Seth for like a year or something lol.

I also got to meet my consultant this week as I’m being consultant led again being a high risk pregnancy. I was pleased to find out that it was the same consultant who actually delivered Seth. So that is just amazing as I’ll be having a planned c- section again so the same lady will be delivering Little T.

We’ve made the decision to stay Team Green during this pregnancy – we’re not finding out the Baby’s Gender. I’m actually quite excited to have a gorgeous surprise when Little T arrives. I’ve been pushed back one day, so Little T’s due date is 31st October. I’ve also made the decision to have my Fallopian tubes removed during my c-section. Purely because we definitely only want 2 children & because I’m generally quite poorly during pregnancy. We’ve been moving furniture around in our bedroom to make room for the SnüzPod. So that means I got to move my dressing table & make it all pretty in a new location. I do love an organised make up station… I’m so sad lol. I’ve been spending a lot of time on Pinterest looking at nursery decor ideas. We’ve gone for White, Pale Grey & Silver. I can’t wait to start decorating. Then when Little arrives I can buy either pink or blue bunting with his or her name on as a finishing touch. Eeeeeck… it’s just too exciting! We’ve already got the cotbed which is Obaby & from Precious Little Ones.

May is looking to be a VERY busy month too… it’s my birthday in May, it’s the hubsters birthday in May, we have 2 Bank Holidays & we have a holiday coming up too, to Haven. I’ve never been to a Haven site before. I’m super excited – it looks perfect for Seth. We normally holiday in Center Parcs… but wanted to see what Haven was like. We’ve got a Center Parcs holiday come up in August. Then, Christmas week we’ll be going again, but this time we’ll have our new addition with us. I’m so excited! I have some lovely reviews coming up all about the Traditional Toy Box Company & Nuby. I promise I’ll be blogging more this month… my sickness is starting to get better & I just need to get back to my organised routine. Thanks so much as always for reading! Love & Huggles,Hayley xxx

Frantic and Frazzled but Feeling Fantastic

2 Feb

Hi folks,

February has arrived so we can firmly put January behind us. January always seems to be a very busy month. Recovering after Christmas… late nights over the festive period, parties, over spending… yikes… the list goes on. So, we all begin January with our ‘New Year New Me’ mantra… rid our homes of the festivities & bring in a little bit of calm. But, it never seems to happen that way. Our work load seems to be more hectic than ever after having time off over the holiday period. We have stacks of housework too that seems to have been put aside while celebrating. The school run re-emerges & we’re simply back on that hamster wheel of life.

What we need is that element of calm & relaxation as we enter our safe haven we call home. You all know that I’m a Crabtree & Evelyn super fan! I’ve been trying out 2 products over the last few weeks that I’m simply in love with.

Lets start with the linen mist. This is simply stunning & I can already tell that this will be something I’m going to have to buy on a regular basis. Lavender is one of my favourite scents anyway, but partnered with the hint of freshly pressed coffee – its simply stunning. I have been spritzing this on our bed each morning after making it & I’ve also been spritzing it in our guest room. Our guest room only gets used when we have family or friends staying with us which isn’t all of the time. So this has really kept the room feeling fresh. I sometimes think that unused rooms can become a little stagnant. In Seth’s bedroom he has a beautiful little corner sofa in his reading area, so I’ve been spritzing that every few days too. We have a spare room that is simply unused right now… that’s what I’m hoping will soon become a nursery in the near future. I’ve been lightly spritzed the carpet in there with this beautiful scent just to keep that fresh feeling. I really do love it. I’ve kept this as purely an ‘upstairs’ fragrance with it being predominately a lavender scent.

I love the Citron & Coriander Body Wash from the Energising range… It’s gorgeous. It’s perfect for those dark, cold gloomy mornings. The ‘zestiness’ of it really wakes you up. I have very sensitive skin on my arms & legs & can honestly say that this is really gentle & I’ve had no redness at all. I get a little nervous trying out new body washes & scents, just in case you get that sting or redness… or both! But nothing at all with this body wash. It lathers up lovely on a body scrunchie. I really like this one.

Valentines Day & Mother’s Day are both quite literally around the corner… so if you’re struggling for ideas… I can hand on heart recommend these products. There’s nothing worse than receiving a pointless present in my eyes. At least with lovely buys like this – they’re luxurious, practical & they won’t break the bank. In fact, if you’re not already signed up to the Crabtree & Evelyn newsletter, you could receive 10% off your next order! Simply head on over to their website to sign up!

So, the perfect way to feel fantastic & less frazzled is a perfect little treat for yourself from one of my favourite beauty brands 🙂

Thanks so much as always for reading! I hope I’ve given you some gifting inspiration 😉

Love & Huggles,

Hayley xxx
