Growing Up So Fast

22 May

Hi folks,

Where does the time go? I feel like it was only last week I was announcing I was pregnant with Seth… & now he’s 2yrs old! When everyone told me the time would fly by once I had children, I didn’t quite believe it. I’m almost scared to blink in case I miss something.

Seth is growing & developing so fast. Every day he seems to be doing something new.

From day one with weaning Seth he’s always been included at mealtime. We always sit down altogether. At first he was in a high chair. But as he’s getting bigger – he doesn’t want the high chair… he wants to sit on a ‘big boy chair’ at the table. This is where the fantastic Nuby Travel Booster Seat has been such a game changer.

This fab seat straps to most dining chairs – we have high backed ones & it fits no problem. There is also a harness so you can clip your little one in safely. Seth loves it as it gives him that extra little bit of height to reach the dining table. He’s loved being able to have breakfast, dinner & tea like a big boy on a regular chair.

Seth literally has the BEST morning hair lol… I love his curls.

We’ve not just been using it at mealtimes though, it’s been great for ‘Arty Time’ too.

The booster seat is so super lightweight & really easy to fit to a seat. It has an adjustable 3 point harness & safety straps – giving you the peace of mind that your little one is safe & secure. The other really good thing is that the covering is waterproof & so easy to wipe clean – coz let’s face it… those little ones do tend to get a tad messy at times. The seat can then convert really easily into a bag with a shoulder strap. There’s also a mesh pocket ideal for storage… this can be used for anything you may need on the go such as spoons, bib etc…

We’re off on holiday next week & you’d better believe that we shall be taking this with us.

What can I say – this item is fab! I wished I’d known about it sooner. I will most definitely be using this again when baby number 2 arrives.

For more info on the product & for buying… head on over to the Nuby website. Don’t forget that it’s free delivery on all orders over £15. The travel booster seat is only £19.99… so there’s your free delivery right there!

Thanks so much as always for reading!

Foodie Fun with the Must-Have Highchair!

31 Jul

Hi folks,

So… you know what it’s like when you get too giddy & throw yourself into impulse buys without thinking first. Well… that’s what we did with our high chair purchase. Not long after Seth was born… so waaaaay before he was ready for weaning, we immediately went out to buy a highchair. I think we were just too giddy about being new parents & couldn’t help but have this need to buy then & there. The highchair we bought was the Cosatto Noodle Supa in the C Rex design. Now… this wasn’t a really bad highchair… but… we didn’t really do our research. We went for pretty & funky over function & usability. Once Seth was at weaning age… I did start to pick quite a few holes in the functionality of this highchair & there was lots I would’ve changed about it. Always always always do your research! I wish I’d had our new highchair from the beginning…

We’ve been having lots of fun with our new highchair from Joie. We have the new Multiply 6in1 Highchair. This highchair is the only thing you’ll need for weaning/meal times… here’s why…

  • 6 modes including baby mode highchair, traditional highchair, booster, portable booster, toddler chair and play table
  • 5 height adjustments
  • Seat and frame fold compactly and stand when folded
  • Extra large tray with one-hand release
  • 4 position adjustable tray with cupholder
  • Full coverage dishwasher safe tray insert doubles as a placemat
  • Clever tray storage on back legs
  • 3 position seat recline
  • Removable, washable, soft infant insert
  • Removable, wipeable seat pad
  • 3 position height adjustable footrest
  • Integrated wheels on front legs
  • SoftTouch, 5-point harness

The removable tray is a Godsend. Seth is 16 month & we’re trying very hard now with plates, bowls & cutlery… but sometimes the plates end up on the floor. So the removable tray is ideal for when they’re still not fully using a bowl or a plate. The fact it is dishwasher safe too is just fantastic.

The straps also remove really easy for cleaning & soaking. A high chair that is easy to clean is an absolute must. I’ve found this chair extremely user friendly. I use the chair in our dining room & our lounge, which means I am moving it around the house a lot – it’s really light & easy to move. Even with my back problem, I have found it super easy to lift & manouvre. The wheels on the front are fab!

Storage-wise this highchair is really good. The tray comes off with one hand release & clips straight on to the back via a cross bar on the legs. Then you can fold in the chair via two release buttons so it’s more slimline to either stand upright in a large cupboard, utility room or to either tuck to onesie in your dining room. It’s extremely easy to use. In fact… one thing that I did forget to mention is that I put the whole thing together when it first arrived. I literally took it out of the box… read the instructions… & popped it all together! I NEVER build anything. I’m just not good at it. But this is so user friendly – that even I could do it!

I’m going to be reviewing this item over & over again, as… it grows with Seth!!! So… when we start using it as a separate table & chair – expect another review! The amazing thing is that we’ll be able to use it for snacks, meals & activities too. It’s such a good investment! Especially when you take into consideration that you can take the seat part off the frame & use as a travel high chair. Amazing!!!

We can also safely say that the comfort aspect of this highchair is top notch… since Seth even likes to fall asleep in it.

Thank you so much for reading & I hope you’ve found this review useful!

Baby Thorne x Two

9 Aug

Hi Folks ✨

I’m so sorry that it’s been such a while since my last post. I’ve beensuffering bad with sickness & I’m just so shattered all of the time. I’m really hoping that this sickness is gonna pass soon! At least I’ve found sparkling water & spearmint Polo’s help to settle my stomach

I’m literally drinking it constantly at work & at home. So many people keep telling me that having such strong symptoms early on can mean twins… Well apparently my hubster does have twins in his family but they’ve skipped a few generations… So I guess we’ll find out in 5wks… If it’ll be Baby Thorne x 2!

Last week my gorgeous hubster surprised me with the new Naked Smoky Palette by Urban Decay. He subscribed & everything so he could be one of the first people to purchase it. He’s so thoughtful & utterly gorgeous

You’ve not missed anything really in the days I’ve not blogged… Well apart from lots of morning sickness.

The kitchen is looking so pretty now that the painting is all finished

I love having my chalk board back to write my menus on. As you can see we went out for my friend, Sharlene’s birthday last night. We went for a meal to Relish in Doncaster. I love the food there – it’s always so consistently good… Along with amazing service. They were even making me special Virgin cocktails with me being pregnant. I had 2 Strawberry Daquiris. I can’t recommend Relish enough – great food – great drinks – great service! ✨

Me & the hubster shared chilli fries to start & for my main I had Cajun salmon… It was so good! We didn’t have dessert as we were just so full

We left around 8pm… So we didn’t stay out late at all. When we got home we got into our pjs & retreated to the garden to toast marshmallows… I love our cozy evenings  💕

Today has been a rather productive day… Even with all of the queasiness. I’ve baked 2 corned beef, onion & potato pies & a cheese & onion quiche. I even made the short crust pastry from scratch.

I was so utterly shattered after baking all morning… But at least it means that today’s dinner & tonrrows is totally catered for! Plus… They freeze really well too. You just can’t beat homemade food.
We had dinner today alfresco since the weather is still really nice.
I just can’t believe that’s it’s Monday tomorrow already! The weekends just go far too fast! I

have my very first Midwife appointment this coming week!!! I’m kinda nervous & kinda excited.

All last week I was used my Gucci shopper for work… I think I may have to swap over to my Viv Weswood Safari bag tomorrow for a change.

Well folks… I shall leave this post here. I really must try harder at posting daily!

Thanks again for reading & a big hi to my new followers ❤️
