Can I just start by saying… how odd is the weather at the moment!? One minute its hot & sunny… then the next… it’s humid, dark & raining! Utter nightmare! Especially for those of us with hair prone to frizz!

Just the other week I was sent the gorgeous new Gold Styler from She Hair… & wow… it definitely came at the most perfect time to save me from this humid frizzy nightmare!

Honestly… I’m so fussy when it comes to what I’ll use on my hair. I have super thick hair & it’s so curly when I wash it. What makes the styler different to the original 3.1b straightener? Well the new styler has a variable temperature gage. This is amazing news for people with finer hair or extensions. By being able to choose your temperature – there’s no worry of burning your precious locks. I tend to use on the hottest setting as my hair is very thick & very curly. After straightening – my hair it is super shiny! The super smooth titanium plates are loaded with more negative Ions, this repairs over charged positive Ion damaged hair, reducing frizz and providing better, longer lasting results. The polished & floating titanium plates means there’s no risk of dragging or snagging either. And… It takes the styler hardly no time at all to reach your chosen temperature. A few year ago I actually purchased The GHD Gold Styler & I ended up selling it on eBay… It really dragged & pulled my hair. I paid well over £100… I wasn’t happy at all.

The She Styler has lovely curved edges making it easier to get right to the root when straightening. Thats essential for me as my hair is curly right from the root. It also makes it easier to get that slight curve at the edges of your hair when you want to turn it under.

Looking Good Without Breaking the Bank!

These days… we’re all on a budget… saving a few pennies wherever we can. So who wouldn’t want to look good on a budget? Everywhere we look we’re inundated with stunning celebs & models with perfect hair. I mean… does anyone have the perfect hair… naturally? I know I certainly don’t. Especially in this hot, humid weather! Well actually, by little boy has pretty perfect hair… but that’s beside the point.

Anyway… looking good on a budget. Who can remember when I reviewed She Hair UK last year? I was so excited when they got in touch again for me to review them. So… 1 year on & they’re still my favourite hair styling brand. They make 4 different irons:

Now… as you all know I have super thick & super long hair that is very curly & frizzy naturally. My hair is much longer now than what is shown in the youtube video above that I did over a year ago. The She straightener just grips & glides smoothly. My hair is so poker straight & shiny after using them.

I used the wide plate straighteners in the above pic. It took around 40mins from start to finish. Normally I’d be looking at over an hour with a pair of Cloud 9’s. For me, as a busy Mammy… any time saving is a winner. On a morning I’m looking at like 5mins maximum to get rid of any waves. But I wash my hair once a week & straighten from scratch. I only wash once a week, as my hair just does not go greasy. I put that down to how thick it is.

Straight Hair Evolution

So… last week I was lucky enough to receive two pairs of hair straighteners from SHE – Straight Hair Evolution. I was sent the 3.1b professional straightening iron in limited edition white & the 3.1b in the wide plate. 

For anyone who hasn’t heard of She… here’s a little background; Shehair, hair straighteners are manufactured by Unil Electronics Corporation – the ORIGINAL manufactures of the GHD hair straighteners brand 2001 to 2008!

Now… we can all remember our very first pair of GHDs when they first arrived on the market. They were phenomenal. But, all of a sudden GHD changed the shape & design… something was lost. They became the styler rather than the straightener. They were just never quite as good. They’d drag & snag your hair while you were pulling them through your hair.  Work on the theory of: If it ain’t broke – don’t fix it!

 I still actually have a pair of the original 3.1b GHDs irons that have been repaired now around 4 times. These She hair straighteners are exactly the same! They’re fantastic!!! I’ve enclosed the video to my YouTube review of these straighteners rather than taking photos as it’s so much better to see the results properly. 

I have such thick wavy hair & these straighteners eradicated the frizz in like 20 minutes. They’re seriously fantastic!!! And… priced at £54.99 – how can you resist!?
