“Together is a Wonderful Place to Be.”

10 Aug

Hi Folks,

We’re trying our hardest to try & make life more normal here in our house. Now that we can see family members… we’re making plans & trying to plan days out for the kids, since we’ve had to cancel our Summer getaway. Things like seaside days out, strawberry picking, picnics etc…

Planning is always so much more fun when you have pretty pens & a Personal Planner or Family Wall Planner. Every year I have a Family Wall Planner made for us from Personal Planner. I love them soooooo much! They really are the best planners around.

With each Personal Planner or Wall Chart – you will get a sheet of stickers. Great for high lighting special arrangements. Another great feature is that you can upload all of your important dates, birthdays & anniversary’s. So each year you don’t have to go through writing in all of the dates… with one click everything uploads. It’s utterly perfect – I hate the task of the laborious date writing. So this handy little feature scraps all of that.

The family wall planner has enough room for each individual family member. They get their own colour coordinated section & photograph. Perfect for logging school dates, play dates & trips to the vet… of course our Chihuahua Coco has her own section on the family wall planner.

The most exciting & fun aspect of these lovely planners is that you literally design it all yourself. So it’s a perfect fit for you & your life. Whether you want it to aid with your studies, or if you need it to help with organising your office at home whilst working from home or like me… you want to plan fun family days out… Personal Planner has you covered. And what’s more… shipping is entirely FREE!!!

So… I have some super exciting news!!!! I’ve teamed up with Personal Planner for a phenomenal GIVEAWAY!!! All you have to do is head on over to my Instagram page & FOLLOW ME, LIKE & SHARE. Just look for the Personal Planner giveaway post.

Staying Ahead with Good Planning

13 Sep

Hi folks,

I’ve been in planning & organising over drive lately. What with the start of the new academic year & Seth going back to Pre-School & everything that’s coming up with regard to events & celebrations… I’ve been furiously making lists etc…

I just couldn’t get by without my Personal Planner Wall Planner. It’s so perfect for busy family life when you’re juggling school events, work, appointments, etc…

This is the ultimate Wall Planner for a busy family. You get a week per pages & you can add family members & colour co-ordinate everyone. You can even add a photograph at the top of each column.

I absolutely adore stickers too… With your purchase, you get a free sheet of stickers, but you can also purchase more stickers from their online shop.

With the wall planner you can also add areas at the bottom for things such as: Menu/Meals, To Do List, Pre-School etc… it’s just a great area to add additional notes & memo’s. For us, it’s perfect having our planner to consult before booking anything in as you can see so quickly & easily what everyone is up too.

I’m a big fan of technology & I use my electric devices daily along with a virtual assistant in our home in pretty much every room lol, but when it comes to organising… paper & pen is always better. Personal Planner as a company make it all so very user friendly. If you create an account you can add all of you special dates, such as birthdays etc… they will automatically be uploaded into any planner you create with the click of a button. It saves so much time!

I’ve also got the Mini Planner too for my handbag. It’s literally perfect for keeping in your handbag when you’re out & about.

Just like the Wall Planner, you can colour co-ordinate everything & you can add stickers etc…

You can even add little fun areas like a little colouring image at the bottom of each page. I just love colouring in, but having 2 little ones to run around after – I never have time to finish anything. So these little images are perfect for when I get a spare 5 minutes. Yes… I am that sad lol. I just find colouring so relaxing with a cup of tea.

I love that the planners all come with an elastic to keep it closed whilst in your bag. There’s nothing worse than your organiser opening & getting all of its pages ruffled up. In each planner you’ll also find a plastic wallet to keep any important items such as receipts etc… as with the wall planner – you’ll also get your sheet of stickers. And… a removable ruler! Perfect to use as a page marker. I just adore everything about these stunning planners.

So… I have some exciting news!!! Personal Planner have given me a gift card worth £39.90 & valid until March 2020. I will be giving this gift card away to one of my lucky followers over on Instagram! Head on over to my Instagram Page now, to find out how to enter! I’m just so excited to pass on some Personal Planner sparkle to one of you.

Thank you as always for reading & I hope I’ve inspired you to get organised. In fact… why not treat your nearest & dearest this Christmas to the gift of being organised. You could gift them a planner or a personal planner gift card!

Love & huggles,

Hayley xxx

Planning the Perfect Play Date

30 Nov

Hi folks,

Life is so hectic & fast paced these days… especially when you’re a parent. Planning your life around classes, play groups, work, housework, socialising etc… yikes… how do you fit it all in!?

I like to arrange regular playdates for Seth with all of his little best friends. Plus, it gives me some much needed time to have a catch up & have a cuppa with my fellow Mummy’s. The easiest way for us to arrange our playdates is with the use of Doodle. Doodle is so user friendly! Also, when scheduling an event – your invitees don’t even need to have the app as you can invite them via Text Message, Email, Whatsapp & Facebook Messenger. I usually opt for Facebook Messenger as we’re all on that social media platform.

Getting started is super easy… the app is free to download & very user friendly.

When creating the event you have free reign to choose time, date, location etc… the great thing about this scheduling app is that you can send your invitees multiple dates. That’s the main thing that I love about this app. When planning an event – you always need a few options. Like I said earlier… Life is super busy these days.

Once you have created your event/time poll you will be able to invite people. You do this by clicking the icon in the top right corner that looks like a little person.

You can also add messages & start discussions with one another via the speech bubble icon also in the top right corner. It just keeps all correspondence in the one area & it also means that no one is left out of the conversation.

Each time someone responds & participates in your time poll/invitation you will receive an alert via the app & an email notification.

Once everyone has responded – you should have a clear idea which date is most suitable.

Every busy parent needs this app. Myself & my husband have been using this app for arranging Christmas nights out too – it just cuts out all of the needless text messages. It’s quick, easy & precise! Like your very own personal assistant that lives inside your smart phone!

Happy Scheduling!

Get Rid Of the Clutter with Her Clutter Box

8 Feb

Hi folks,

I’m so excited to be writing another review for the fabulous company: Her Clutter Box. The quality of these products is utterly fantastical. A lot of companies selling acrylic storage tend to import their stock, but Her Clutter Box are different. They have their stunning clutter boxes made by highly skilled craftsmen who have been in the business for years. So you can expect nothing but the highest quality from them.

If like me you have a ridiculous ever growing stash of make up… then you really need a clutter box. They come in all shapes & sizes that can be viewed on their website. I am the proud owner of the Nail Polish Wall Rack. The wall rack has 6 individual shelves & holds around 60 to 70 polishes. Now, to give you an idea of the width & general size of the shelves I have popped some well known make up palettes & other products on there. Hopefully using the palettes it’ll give you an idea of the shelves & what you could fit on there. Here are the actual dimensions:

Width – 29cm / 12’’

Height – 27cm / 10.5’’

Depth – 25cm / 10’’

But, if like me you need something a little more visual, here’s some pics.

My hubster calls my wall mounted clutter boxes my ‘wall of make up’ lol. If you are limited for space – then these wall racks are an amazing space saver! You could pop lipsticks on there, make up palettes, blushers, palettes… etc… Also, if they’re wall mounted high up it means no little fingers can grab your make up! Being a Mammy that’s always a worry… I don’t want Seth using my most expensive make up as a teether!

Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day & Easter are literally all around the corner. These stunning storage space savers, would make an excellent non-chocolate, diet friendly treat! Her Clutter Box are based in Dublin, but they will ship to anywhere in the world. I’m sure thats amazing sparkly news for my international readers. They come well packaged to keep your clutter box safe & sound too.

These clutter boxes are high end, classy must haves that will be a long term investment to house your precious cosmetics. They keep everything beautifully organised. On a morning it’s always a little hectic in our home, what with getting ready as quick as possible, preparing breakfast, entertaining my 10 month old etc… So having all of my pretty make up perfectly organised & right there at my finger tips is utterly essential. I just haven’t the time to be rifling through an old make up bag looking for that eyeliner right at the bottom.

Your make up hoard deserves this… it deserves a pretty home… Her Clutter Box. Right now they have some amazing bundle deals… so go check them out here.

You can find Her Clutter Box on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.

I hope you’ve found this review useful.

Thanks as always for taking the time to read!

The Handmade Christmas Co

5 Dec

Hi folks ✨

Christmas is literally around the corner! I’m sure by now you’ve all bought your gifts (well I’m sure a few of you are leaving things to the last minute lol). Now you’ll be wondering what to wrap all those beautiful gifts in. Well… this is the review is for you!

The Handmade Christmas Co have sent me the most beautiful handmade personalised Santa Sack

The sacks are 80cm x 53cm in size. I’ve manged to fit so much into Seth’s Santa Sack. The beautiful finishing piece for me is the gorgeous satin ribbon to tie the top. It just gives it a beautiful finishing touch.

The sacks are priced at £22. A fantastic price when you think you’ll be using them year after year. There are various styles to choose from. There are also some non-personalised sacks too which are the exact same size & are priced at £17.

If you’re looking for something that little bit more special for someone – this is just perfect. I was going to buy Seth a ‘Baby’s first Christmas Stocking’…  but this is waaaay better. With a stocking like that – you wouldn’t be able to use it year after year. With this – you totally can! Seth is too young to fully understand Christmas & Santa this year, but when he’s bigger, I’ll be filling this sack with goodies & leaving it in his room to wake up too on Christmas morning.

The quality is simply beautiful. The print looks so ‘vintage’ & it has an overall luxury ‘classy’ feel to it. You also have the option of choosing the colour of the text on the name too.

The Handmade Christmas Co have a Facebook Page you can ‘Like’ to stay up to date with new products & promotions.

I’ve already got Seth’s Santa Sack under the tree & it looks so beautiful… I really am in love with it. If you did decide to go for the non-personalised Santa Sack – you could use it for the office Secret Santa to keep all the gifts in. Or, if you hand out gifts around the dinner table on Christmas Day – then this would be the ideal prop.

So go on – head on over to their website now to look at all of their beautiful festive goodies.

Hope you’re all having fun getting festive ✨

Thanks for reading as always!

Personal Planner

28 Nov

Hi folks

Well, I have another fab Christmas gift idea for you!

What do you buy the most organised person you know? Or, what do you buy the least organised person you know? Or.. if you know someone in between… I have the perfect gift idea! Why not buy them a personal planner? Or better still… head to their website & buy someone a gift card!

The Personal Planner is just that… a fabulously unique personal planner tailored for you… by you! You literally design every single aspect of it. Everything from the colour of the pages to the layout.

I loved creating my own planner. I make notes generally all over my diary & I’m always writing lists of menu’s for the week to keep on track with eating healthy. My current diary just ends up as a massive mess… with writing scrawled all over the place. It looks incoherent – then I have to decipher what I’ve written & in what order! Now, when you have a busy working Mammy life like me… this is not the way to plan your time! So… with my NEW planner… I have my page sectioned up into little, manageable, neat categories! I simply cannot wait for the New Year purely so I can use it! Yes… I am that sad.

Along with my regular weekly breakdown over two pages, I have:

  • To Do This Week, complete with a ticky box (who doesn’t love a ticky box!?)
  • List Of The Week – this list I was going to use for business/PR contacts of who I’m in talks with. Just so to keep it separate from my to do list.
  • Idea Of the Week – This was to jot any buzz words or inspiring things I encounter that I can write about or simply come back to at a later date.
  • This Week’s Dinner – This is my menu area.
  • Notes – well thats pretty self explanatory.

I also opted for the ruler too – it makes a great page mark doesn’t it!?

I’ve tried in the past to have a personal diary & a work diary, but it just never works. I end up lugging around two diaries. Then I update one & not the other & it just gets so confusing! So, this way with my personal planner all organised & categorised – I can have one diary for everything but with keeping things in a precise coherent order!

I opted for the wide diary – simply so I could get as much wordiness in there! But you can choose various shapes & sizes to suit your needs.

I love that it’s slim too. It takes up hardly no room in my bag! Also, another bugbear of mine is when you have book in your bag & it opens so the pages get all bend & dogeared. I end up having to pop a hair bobble around things to keep them closed etc… well that just looks a bit naff doesn’t it!? And not at all professional when you turn up to a meeting with split hairs sprouting off your diary! Well… there’s no need for that with your personal planner as you get to choose the colour of your elastic that is attached & in the perfect place to keep your diary closed & perfect!

You can add sheets of stickers too! Now this is fab for all of you ‘bullet journalers’ out there! ‘Journaler’… I don’t even think thats a word!? Oh well, it is now! I love a good sticker. If you’ve got something important to do – a sticker always makes it pop when you turn the page. If you are into bullet journaling then you can opt for plain pages rather than lined – just for when your sketching etc… Honestly – whatever you want – goes really. You design it. Even the front cover… I opted for a plain & simple cover… but you could add a photograph of your choice… anything!

If you’re wanting to buy this as a gift – but would like to pass the creative gift on so the recipient gets the fun of designing, then you have the option of buying them a PDF version gift card – or an actual physical gift that will arrive via the postman. It really would make a fab Christmas gift. That way – you can either email them the fabulous gift. Or… pop it in their Christmas card!

Now, if you’re wanting to create & design a personal planner to arrive before Christmas, then you really must get your skates on! You need to order before December 4th for guaranteed Christmas Delivery. But, if you’re not sure of anything, then you can head to their website & contact the beautiful personal planner folk via their  customer service contact email address, of via their Facebook Page.

Well… There you have it! Go buy your very own Personal Planner… you really do need it in your life!

Thanks so much for reading as always & I hope I’ve inspired you to get organised!

Living ‘Sparkly’ the IxxyPoco Way

9 Aug

Hi folks ✨

Well… It’s no secret that I like fancy things. I love to live life sparkly & being surrounded by nice things & designer labels. I like eating nice food & drinking sparkly yumminess. But, I like all of these things at the best bargain price.

I’m the Queen of coupons & the Princess of bargain shopping. There’s no shame in bargain hunting. The cost of living has become so high that quite often treats are forgotten. Well, life is for living & I love a treat.

I’m such a handbag & purse pervert… I’m always scouring glossy magazines for the latest stunning arm candy. Once I have my heart set on a new bag – I’ll stop at nothing until it’s mine. Generally I’ll head to my current bags that I own & I’ll either have a cull & sell anything I’ve not used in the last 12months & put the money toward my new purchase. Or… I’ll get down to some good old saving. Even if it’s just £5 a month… I’ll save until I have the pennies to buy it. I’ve just sold 5 handbags & with the money I’ve managed to buy myself a new Kate Spade Purse & a Vivienne Westwood Tote. It’s a great way of freeing up some room as well as buying something new. And, your old bags go to a new home. It’s kind of like recycling really. I really need to start organising ‘swishing’ parties. A Swishing Party is basically where everyone brings something they no longer want, then you swap with someone else. So you could bring clothes, shoes, bags, scarves… Anything really! Such a good idea & a money saver! Plus, it’s a good excuse to get the girlies over to sip some sparkles. Talking of sparkles…

Sparkles ✨ Now, we all know I love a glass of sparkles. Whether it be a good bottle of Champagne or a cheap Cava. The whole reason I call it sparkles is so it’s very ambiguous as what’s in my glass. It’s always bubbly, it’s always dry… But is it always Champagne? Heck no! I’d love to be sipping Moet every weekend, but that’s become rather pricey! So, my wine rack consists of Cava that I’ve bought at £4 on offer, Prosecco when it’s 5 for £25 & Champagne when there’s money off. Even Moet, Lanson & Veuve go on offer sometimes. When they do I tend to buy a bottle to keep for a special occasion. Places like Aldi & Asda are great for picking up a bottle of Champagne for £10… Sometimes cheaper if you’re lucky.

Food… Now I LOVE food! I cook from scratch & I make my own sauces. Meat etc… Can be a bit pricey at times. But it’s all about where you shop & quantities. If you follow my diet page you’ll know I use my Crock Pot a lot. I buy my meat pre-frozen from Asda which saves a lot. I tend to buy whole fresh chickens as it’s cheaper to buy a whole chicken sometimes & then it’s lasts a good few days. There’s so many different things you can make with chicken. I buy rice & pasta in bulk. I’m lucky & have a big walk in pantry which is great for storage. I tend to buy giant sacks of pasta & rice which is so much cheaper. I also buy tinned items in bulk too whenever I see an offer. If I see a vegetable offer in a local market I’ll buy it in bulk then blanch & freeze them. We eat well… We have gorgeous food… But at a good price.

Make up… I couldn’t live without the stuff. Again I buy when there’s an offer. I buy most of my make from Debenhams & Boots. Both places have excellent points cards. It’s the best way to buy. Make sure you use the offers & coupons to boost your points. That way you build up a good balance to spend at a later date. I can get up to £200 worth of boots points on my card within 6 month. It just makes your pennies go that little bit further. I also have some amazing acrylic storage which I bought from Muji. It’s so much cheaper than a Kardashian Acrylic Cube.

Somethings in life I won’t scrimp on like SKY TV (sad I know lol) Eating Out & things for Seth. But that’s fine because I try to get everything else at a bargain price lol.

So there you have it… This is my sparkly way of living life ‘fancy’ & Sparkly ✨

Thanks for reading & have a great day 💕

Love & Huggles,

Hayley xxx

9 Dec

Hi Folks ✨

Sorry for my lack of post yesterday… I just really wasn’t feeling well. So yesterday was spent laying around recuperating as much as I could. But… a few exciting things have happened since my last post…

  1. We have new carpets… Eeeeeeeeeck!
  2. Paper chase are sending me some goodies to review for them… so stay tuned for that!
  3. Lots more companies have contacted me showing interest in this blog… one company being MULBERRY… As you can imagine I’m practically peeing my pants about that one!

I’m really excited to receive my parcel of goodies from Paperchase. I love nothing more than organising! In today’s society we’re all so busy juggling work, family, commitments, etc… People are always asking me how I stay so calm & ahead of things & the answer is so simple: I organise… a lot. There’s nothing better than a good pen, notebook & a diary. I’m really old school. I may own an array of apple products, but I rarely use my calendar function on them. I’m all about the pen & paper. The act of just writing things down seems to help imprint important dates into my brain. Honestly… it’s just something that I’ve always done. All you need is a sparkly pretty notebook & a glammy pen. I so can’t wait to see what my goodies will be as I love Paperchase products. I will most definitely be writing an in depth review of the things they send me with links & prices in case you’re inspired to purchase them!

Any discounts I’m offered via this blog I shall pass on too! Why not spread the bargain love I say… We could all use money off coupons these days! The BirchBox code I was sent is still active & there’s still Christmas boxes available too… so head over & order yourself one or maybe one as a gift. It’s a fab little box with over £60 worth of products inside. The link & code will give you £5 worth of points to spend in their online store & you’ll also get the box for the bargain price of £6.95 including postage!!! Mine has already been dispatched & I can’t wait for it to arrive. Simply follow this link to get yours ordered: https://www.birchbox.co.uk/invite/zd49d & add discount code: CLOUDXMAS

So today has been a much better day than yesterday… I’m still not feeling 100%… But like I said – better than yesterday. Plus I only had a half day in work – so that was a lot easier than doing a full day. Of course I started my working day with a Chococcino from Campus Coffee… I even went for the large rather than the regular lol. It was totally needed though. At 12noon a few of us headed over to Relish for lunch. Matt is leaving us… I’m sad, but super happy for him as he’s gotten a fab job elsewhere. So this was kind of an unofficial leaving lunch. I had a lemonade & then lasagne for my nom noms… It was so good! But then, I’ve never had a bad meal at Relish! I probably shouldn’t have gone for a pasta dish since we’ve had pasta for tea tonight too lol… Oh well.

Well, at least tonights was a veggie bake though lol.

After lunch I headed straight home. I love getting home & turning the Christmas lights on & having the fire on… It’s just so cosy. There’s no place like home as our Dorothy would say!

This afternoon has been spent blogging… reading blogs & chilling. Of course Coco needed to be involved too lol. She’s so cute bless her & totally inquisitive of everything.

Oh, before I forget. My fab friend who is a rep for Younique was telling me that the company have now launched in France & Germany! Honestly if you haven’t tried their products yet then you really need too. I’m such a make up snob & even I have to admit that they’ve ticked every box for me! Especially their foundation… It’s amazing & gives a flawless & even coverage without being too ‘cakey!’. If anyone is interested in purchasing or becoming a rep themselves… Follow Gemma’s link here: http://youniqueproducts.com/gemmadover Joining her team is simple & you’d be able to earn lots of commission – imagine that! You could either use it as an extra income… Or save it for a rainy day! If you have any questions, you can drop her a message here on her Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/746243582154021/

I don’t actually think there’s much more to tell you… It’s been a pretty quiet Wednesday. Eeeck… that’s means its Thursday tomorrow & that then means… Only one more day until the weekend!!! Friday see’s the start of my annual leave… Saturday will involve a spot of lunch with the hubster & Sunday see’s Carol & Eddies Wedding! I love a Christmas Wedding!

I’m gonna leave this post here folks as I’m getting to that time of the evening where I just wanna snuggle up in bed with some crappy TV & have hubster cuddles ❤️

Thanks again for reading!

Love & Huggles,

Hayley xxx
